Another Simple Favor TRAILER: Blake Lively Returns As Emily Nelson Alongside Anna Kendrick to Weave New Web of Mystery in Sequel

In a delightful twist, Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick are teaming up once more for the follow-up to their successful 2018 film titled A Simple Favor. The initial trailer for Another Simple Favor, unveiled by Amazon Studios, offers a tantalizing sneak peek into the characters’ lives, fast-forwarded by nine years.

The sneak peek encompasses breathtaking landscapes, a wedding event, and hidden truths that ultimately rise to the forefront, introducing unexpected turns in the narrative.

In a new development, Anna Kendrick and Lively are once again stepping into their characters, Stephanie Smothers and Emily Nelson respectively. The upcoming sequel starts with Stephanie reading her book, “A Faceless Blonde,” and during this time, she discovers that her old friend, Emily Nelson, is coming back.

Although it seemed improbable that the duo would cross paths following their past encounters, Stephanie ponders if he orchestrated an escape from prison in order to avoid such situations. Interestingly, a sneak peek at the storyline shows us Emily’s lavish wedding preparations, where she extends an invitation to Smothers for her upcoming nuptials.

When Stephanie doubts Nelson’s motives, she humorously retorts, “Were you under the impression that I invited you here to seek revenge? After all, it was you who took my life away from me and snatched my child.

Earlier, during a meeting at the bookstore, Lively’s character subtly revealed her scheme when she remarked, “If I were to attempt to kill you, it would make for a fantastic sequel.

Paul Feige was behind the direction of a movie that kicked off the franchise, while the cast includes Lively and Kendrick alongside Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Joshua Satine, Ian Ho, Kelly McCormack, and Aparna Nancherla. For those new to the team, Elizabeth Perkins and Allison Janney have recently joined up.

The movie “Another Simple Favor” is set to debut at SXSW, followed by its streaming availability on Amazon Prime Video starting May 1.
