New Detective Conan Film Trailer Unveils Thrilling Mystery in the Snowy Nagano Mountains!

As I eagerly anticipate the release of “Detective Conan: One-Eyed Flashback,” the latest installment in this beloved series, I was thrilled to catch a glimpse of the new trailer and visuals that just dropped on their official website. This tantalizing sneak peek primarily zeroes in on Kogoro’s investigation, while also showcasing the breathtaking mountainous backdrop of Nagano – famed for its snow-covered vistas.

In April 18, 2025, the upcoming Detective Conan film, marking its 28th installment, is scheduled to premiere at Japanese cinemas. The teaser image displays Conan riding a snowboard alongside Yamato, a Nagano inspector known for his wounded left eye, and Kogoro, who’s returning to the series after last appearing in the 9th movie back in 2005.

The new poster also introduces Taka’aki and Yui, who are both from the Nagano area.

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that the director of Detective Conan: Kurogane no Submarine, none other than Katsuya Shigehara, is helming this upcoming film for us! Additionally, Takeharu Sakurai, whose impressive portfolio includes numerous Detective Conan movies, is crafting the script. Can’t wait to see what they have in store for us!

Last year, the film “Detective Conan: The Million-dollar Pentagram” proved to be a tremendous success. It raked in more than 3.35 billion yen (approximately $21.7 million) during its debut weekend, setting a new record as the highest-earning movie in the series, outperforming the earnings of “Detective Conan: Kurogane no Submarine”.
