Will Ryan Reynolds Lose Out on Another Simple Favor Promo Due to Blake Lively-Justin Baldoni Feud? Director Reveals

Director Paul Feig, of “A Simple Favor” fame, has unique concepts brewing for the visual backdrop of his upcoming films. In a recent interview, Feig shared his reasons behind not featuring Ryan Reynold’s gin label in the sequel to his 2018 production.

In a chat with Entertainment Weekly, director Feig revealed that the gin brand, Aviation Gin (previously featured in the initial film and co-owned by the Deadpool star), will not make an appearance in his upcoming film titled Another Simple Favor.

As reported by the source, the upcoming film, slated for release on May 1st on Prime Video, will uniquely showcase Paul Feig’s own gin brand, Artingstall’s Brilliant London Dry Gin, exclusively. It’s worth noting that Paul Feig introduced this brand in the year 2020.

In this film, Artingstall’s touch is everywhere. I’m extremely proud of my signature style, and interestingly enough, our bottle blends seamlessly into the narrative – it doesn’t seem out of place at all. As Feig noted, there will be no further Aviation scenes in the movie.

2018’s movie featured Blake Lively as Emily and Anna Kendrick as Stephanie, who shared a special moment over martinis, notably prepared with Aviation Gin.

During an interview with Cosmopolitan in 2018, Feig shared that when choosing gin brands for the movie, Blake Lively recommended Ryan Reynolds’ Aviation Gin. Looking back, the director mentioned that he wouldn’t have used the bottle if it hadn’t looked good on screen, but it turned out to be a perfect fit.

Another Simple Favor will see Blake Lively reprising her role alongside co-star Anna Kendrick.

Recently, Lively was spotted in the movie “It Ends With Us,” a production that is currently gaining more attention because of the legal dispute between her and the film’s director, as well as her co-star, Justin Baldoni.
