It seems that Joe Tacopina, ASAP Rocky’s lawyer, has specific standards for the clients he takes on. Recently, he was approached about handling Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ case, which involves accusations of sex trafficking and racketeering, but he chose not to get involved.
During an interview on The Breakfast Club on February 24, Tacopina disclosed that he declined to represent Diddy’s case because of his ties with Roc Nation and Jay-Z.
He declared that he works for Roc Nation and has strong ties with numerous individuals within the company. Tacopina further commented, “Jay [Z] and Desiree Perez, who’s truly extraordinary, absolutely fantastic as a boss. Jay is incredible too. You know, Jay Brown, all those people are just exceptionally remarkable individuals.
In the interview, the lawyer added that Diddy and Jay-Z aren’t particularly close at the moment. He emphasized that Roc Nation feels more like a family to him, and he doubts there is much agreement between them and the head of Bad Boy Records.
In simpler terms, Charlamagne Tha God requested Tacopina to reiterate his comments on Diddy and Jay-Z’s friendship.
