On Valentine’s Day this year, Kate Cassidy marked the occasion for the first time since the sad passing of her boyfriend Liam Payne. In an Instagram story post on February 14th, Cassidy displayed a present she received from one of her friends – a photo frame containing a collage of black-and-white images of herself and the former One Direction member.
On this Valentine’s Day, she shared a heartfelt message next to a photo showing her holding a unique gift: a frame with their initials and the ‘angel number’ 444 prominently displayed.
Earlier on, Cassidy disclosed that she and Payne had set a marriage plan for the upcoming year, which they jotted down as one of their goals along with the number sequence 444.
Tragically, it was confirmed that Payne had died following a fatal fall from a hotel balcony in Argentina on October 16, 2024. Since then, the model is said to have interpreted recurring occurrences of this number as a “symbol” or “message” from her departed boyfriend.
On Valentine’s Day, Cassidy posted a snapshot of a notification received from an app monitoring the magnetic movements of the Northern Lights, which displayed the number sequence 444.
A year ago today, Liam and I were witnessing the Northern Lights on Valentine’s, as mentioned in her Instagram post.
The model confessed that she hadn’t removed the app and emphasized the authenticity of the sign. In conclusion, her message contained a Valentine’s greeting for Payne. Following the unexpected death of the “Night Changes” singer, the model posted on social media to share her sorrow over his passing.
At that moment, she penned down that her heart was broken beyond description,” she said later. She remembered how Payne spread joy and brightness in the lives of his loved ones, acquaintances, and countless admirers.
Cassidy commended his lively and compassionate personality, then bid a heartfelt farewell. She vowed to forever cherish him and keep their cherished moments close, wherever life may take her.
