Fans are yearningly awaiting the return of X-Men in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With Disney acquiring the rights to the mutants from 21st Century Fox, there’s been an increased excitement among fans about what a fresh X-Men narrative could bring and when they might make their anticipated appearance within the established continuity.

In other news, since the door has been opened, Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, has some insights to share regarding their strategies for the X-Men. In a recent conversation with Screen Rant, Brad Winderbaum disclosed Marvel’s current plans for this iconic team.

When questioned regarding a supposed Academy X project, Winderbaum commented that there’s a tendency for various ideas to circulate online. Although these rumors may stir up excitement within the “rumor mill,” he clarified that no such project is being actively developed at this time.

Speaking about upcoming X-Men projects, Brad Winderbaum confirmed that the studio continues development on X-Men ’97 Season 2. He was particularly excited about this new season, calling it “amazing,” and hinted that the scripts for Season 3 are already shaping up to be incredibly exciting.

Currently, the main focus for X-Men is on a movie that Marvel Studios is working on developing.

Up until now, several mutants have been hinted at within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Although Deadpool and Wolverine were some of the first mutants to appear in this universe, it’s important to note that they actually originate from a different one.

Simultaneously within the 616 universe, readers met Kamala Khan, also known as Ms. Marvel, who possesses mutant abilities. Additionally, there are hints of other characters like King Namor.
