After a break of two years in 1923, the second season of the Yellowstone prequel, starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, returns. This much-awaited debut is set for February 23 and will be broadcast on Paramount+.

1923, penned by Taylor Sheridan, carries on the Yellowstone narrative, focusing on the Dutton family during the early 1900s as they confront pandemics, economic downturns like the Great Depression, and issues such as Prohibition. In this series, Ford portrays Jacob Dutton, the brother of 1883’s James Dutton (Tim McGraw), making him a direct forefather to Yellowstone’s John Dutton III (Kevin Costner).

Alongside him are James Badge Dale, Darren Mann, Brandon Sklenar, Julia Schlaepper, Jerome Flynn, and Timothy Dalton. The show’s summary reveals a new line of Duttons headed by patriarch Jacob (Harrison Ford) and matriarch Cara (Helen Mirren). They will navigate the early 20th century, a time marked by pandemics, historic drought, the end of Prohibition, and the Great Depression, all of which affect the western mountains where the Duttons reside.

Each Saturday evening at 9 PM Pacific Time, or Sunday mornings at 12 AM Eastern Time, you’ll find new episodes being released. The final episode of this season will air on April 12, but for those on the East Coast, it will be April 13. Currently, you can stream all the episodes from Season 1 on Paramount+.

In an interview with People, he expressed that they enjoyed working together, stating, “We had a great experience”, further mentioning that they also had fun spending time together off-set.
