He’s talked about it with his therapist and has even thought about avoiding playing villainous characters in the future.

At MegaCon Orlando’s fan gathering, it was Bower, famously recognized from The Mortal Instruments, who disclosed that taking on the chilling character of Vecna wasn’t merely a challenge physically with lengthy eight-hour special effects make-up applications, but also mentally exhausting.

Bower mentioned that they were facing some challenges, and he advised, “It’s crucial that you set aside time for yourself while working.” Responding to him, Bower expressed, “To tell you the truth, I don’t think I’ll be taking on another villain role anytime soon.” (According to People)

He added candidly, “Like it f—s me up. I’m dead serious.”

Regardless of the difficulties, Bower thankfully embraced the chance to participate in a cherished series, signing up for Stranger Things during its fourth installment. Yet, he admitted that it’s time for him to leave behind the gloominess associated with Vecna’s realm.

Although Netflix hasn’t specified when the much-awaited fifth and concluding season will be out, creators Matt and Ross Duffer have hinted to Deadline that this season will be their most challenging endeavor, likening it to producing “eight major motion pictures.

Matt Duffer expressed, “This tale feels deeply personal to us. Filming it was incredibly intense and emotional for both us and our cast. Over nearly a decade, we’ve been crafting this series together. There were many tears shed. Lots of tears, indeed. The show holds immense significance for each of us, and everyone poured their heart and soul into it. We sincerely hope and trust that this deep-seated emotion will resonate on the screen.
