Kevin Jonas playfully reacted to a fun comparison drawn between the trio of characters from Saturday Night Live‘s Domingo sketch and the Jonas Brothers, following SNL’s 50th anniversary special featuring Pedro Pascal and Bad Bunny alongside Marcello Hernandez in the Domingo sketch.
Following the airing of SNL50: The Anniversary Special on February 17th, a social media user posted a picture of Pascal, Hernandez, and Bad Bunny from the “Domingo” skit alongside a message suggesting they resemble the Jonas Brothers.
As a die-hard fan here, I can’t help but notice the resemblance you’re pointing out! When asked about it, Kevin Jonas, age 37 and one of the three Jonas Brothers (yeah, you know who I mean!), chuckled and playfully denied it. He humorously stated, “I don’t see it.
Fans supported and elaborated on their comparison, pointing out certain character resemblances between the Saturday Night Live stars and the Jonas Brothers. They stated it simply as: “You’re Pedro Pascal, the one in the middle is Nick, and Bad Bunny represents Joe. It’s quite obvious.
Another stressed how the similarity was unmissable, joking, “We have the Jonas brothers at home.”
Simultaneously, someone humorously suggested they’d inform future generations that the characters in the sketch were none other than the Jonas Brothers. They even planned to tell their future children this trivia.
In October 2024, SNL introduced a recurring segment called “The Domingo Sketch,” featuring Hernandez’s character embarking on a sequence of musical mishaps. The following episode in November presented a song for a baby shower, inspired by Chappell Roan’s HOT TO GO!, hinting that Domingo was the father of the baby being celebrated.
In the most recent version of the drawing, Domingo interrupts a vow renewal ceremony to discuss experiences from a guys’ trip in Scottsdale. Throughout this part of the scene, he is joined by his brothers Renaldo and Santiago, who contribute to the musical chaos.
Despite Kevin and Joe Jonas not attending the special event, Nick Jonas, aged 32, made a Broadway-style appearance, performing “One More Day” from Les Misérables. The Jonas Brothers have previously hosted Saturday Night Live on three occasions in 2009, 2019, and 2023.
