At SNL’s 50th anniversary special on February 16, 2025, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively unexpectedly appeared, marking their first public appearance during their ongoing lawsuit with Justin Baldoni.

However, this wasn’t the moment. In the segment featuring Amy Pohler and Tina Fey taking questions from the audience, Reynolds unexpectedly rose and posed a question. Sitting beside him was no one else but his spouse, Lively.

The actor inquired from Fey and Poehler not only about the substance used to make the Coneheads, but also whether they were safe to eat.

Later, Fey advised him against consuming that substance which helped mold the head shape of the cast character in the 1993 film “Coneheads.” For those unfamiliar, the popular 70s sketch comedy served as inspiration for the 1993 motion picture, as reported by People magazine.

Fey said, “No, given their production year of 1975, I’d presume they could be extremely harmful.” Reynolds then inquired, “Suppose someone hypothetically took a few bites backstage and became thrilled, would it be necessary for them to visit the hospital?

Then Poehler shared that anyone who had faced that same situation should visit the hospital.

In addition to Lively and Reynolds, there were also Quinta Brunson, Nate Bargatze, and Tim Meadows who appeared in the sketch, according to People magazine.
