The upcoming ‘Masters of the Universe’ movie, long awaited by fans, is poised to breathe life onto the cinema screen with characters from Mattel’s cherished toy line. Led by director Travis Knight, this action-packed superhero flick boasts a thrilling ensemble, starring Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam/He-Man, Camila Mendes as Teela, and Jared Leto portraying the sinister Skeletor.
Joining them in this spectacular story are Alison Brie and Idris Elba, bringing even more luminous talent to the production. Set for release on June 5, 2026, the film traces Prince Adam’s adventure as he goes from a crash-landing on Earth to his transformation into He-Man, protector of planet Eternia.

The “He-Man” film has undergone numerous transformations since 2007, with various studios, directors, and screenwriters coming on board over time. Sony stepped in as the lead studio in 2009, which led to multiple script revisions and director swaps, but the production consistently encountered setbacks.
In 2022, Netflix purchased the rights for a He-Man film, choosing Kyle Allen to play the title role. However, the production was scrapped in 2023 because of financial issues. Then, Amazon MGM Studios took over the project in 2024 with Travis Knight as the director and Nicholas Galitzine stepping into the role of He-Man.
Filming commenced in London during January 2025, featuring an illustrious lineup of actors, such as Jared Leto portraying the role of Skeletor, while Idris Elba assumed the character of Man-At-Arms.
