Back in the year 2019, prior to gaining widespread recognition on CBS’s FBI series, Zeeko Zaki underwent a remarkable transformation, shedding an impressive 100 pounds over a period of eight years. The actor generously offered insights into his approach for achieving gradual weight loss.
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight back in 2022, this Egyptian actor shared his approach to losing weight. Instead of rushing the process, he emphasized that it was about taking things slowly and being thoughtful along the way. He made it clear that this transformation wasn’t something that happened overnight.
Year after year, Zaki found himself feeling almost unrecognizable due to the transformations in his physique. Purposely, he shed approximately ten pounds annually, maintaining a slow and consistent rhythm.
He mentioned that the most astonishing aspect was transforming into a slightly different individual each year, gaining approximately 10 pounds annually. However, he wished to undergo this change gradually.
Among his main tactics, he adopted an approach suggested in “The 4-Hour Body” by Timothy Ferriss – taking in approximately 30 grams of protein first thing in the morning, a practice he recommended for others to follow as well.
He shared with the media, “My most valuable advice and what I found particularly useful is a small strategy I picked up from ‘The 4-Hour Body’ by Timothy Ferriss – consuming 30 grams of protein within half an hour after waking. Why not try it out?
As a die-hard admirer, I can relate to Zaki’s revelation. Despite the drastic transformation he underwent, deep within him, he remained the familiar soul I’d adored all along. It wasn’t until he caught sight of his reflection that it dawned on him—the change was real.
Zaki shared that it was thrilling for us to uncover the identity of this man together since, up until then, he still felt like the young boy he used to be when looking at himself in the mirror.
His fitness journey kicked off during high school, inspired by his time on the rowing team. By 2019, he was sharing that he initially followed P90X workout videos and experimented with different diets and exercises. Every six months, he would switch up his routine, exploring various activities from yoga to CrossFit, ensuring his fitness regimen remained fresh and engaging, as reported by Delaware Online.
Every morning at 4 a.m., amidst his busy FBI shooting schedule, Zaki prioritized his fitness routine by squeezing in a quick 30-minute workout before heading to set. He strongly believed that maintaining physical activity was essential for enduring the grueling 12 to 14-hour shoot days. In fact, he warned that without proper conditioning, the body could easily tire and succumb to fatigue.
Looking back, Zeeko Zaki’s weight loss transformation didn’t just alter his physical appearance, it underscored once again the importance of sticking to a consistent routine, striking a balance, and maintaining flexibility when striving for a healthy lifestyle.
