Prepare for another dose of opulent getaways, dubious ethics, and unavoidable turmoil, as HBO’s award-winning series The White Lotus, crafted by Mike White, gets ready to shoot its fourth season! Although previous seasons have whisked us off to diverse tropical destinations, it appears that for this installment, the show might revisit familiar landscapes – at least in terms of geography.

Following the deviation to Thailand in the third season, it’s anticipated that the fourth season will return the storyline to Europe. HBO’s Drama Head, Francesca Orsi, has hinted that Europe is the preferred setting for the next chapter, although the specific location within Europe remains uncertain.

At the Season 3 premiere event, Orsi revealed that we’ll be checking out some potential locations over the coming weeks. We won’t know the exact spot just yet, but it looks like Europe might be our destination. However, she emphasized that things aren’t final until the location scouting is done and dusted.

There’s been talk for some time about each season of The White Lotus possibly unfolding on a different continent. Some enthusiasts had hoped Season 4 would transport us to Africa or South America, but that possibility appears slimmer now. Instead, it seems the show may be returning to the continent where its most explosive season took place.

There are numerous European locations that could be contenders for the next destination of “The White Lotus”. Previously, HBO has filmed in Spain for “Game of Thrones”, which makes it a strong possibility. Additionally, the glamorous French Riviera or even an unforeseen winter setting such as the Swiss Alps might also be considered.

Choosing a location for the show might be influenced by its long-term partnership with the Four Seasons hotel group, which offers luxurious hotels that beautifully set the scene for each season. Another possibility could be the French Riviera, famed for hosting one of the most recognized Four Seasons properties.
