Handmaid’s Tale Season 6: Has Hulu Announced A Release Date? Here’s What to Expect from Elisabeth Moss Starrer

Following the debut of its initial season back in 2017, The Handmaid’s Tale swiftly amassed a massive international following. Consequently, numerous enthusiasts have been eagerly anticipating its sixth installment. Fortunately, it appears that production on the show has wrapped up.

Actors such as O.T. Fagbenle (Luke) and Amanda Brugel (Rita), among others from the series, have shared on their individual Instagram accounts that they have completed filming for the final season of the show, as reported by People magazine.

Regarding when Season 6 will be released, Hulu hasn’t given any formal update as of now. But, judging by the actors’ recent social media posts, it looks like we might be nearing the season premiere.

As per Deadline, the initial plan had been to start filming the final season in 2023, with a scheduled air date in fall 2024. But, this timeline has been pushed back because of potential industry strikes that were recently reported.

As for the plot of Season 6, much like other significant aspects, it remains a mystery at this point. Last May, actress Elizabeth Moss (June’s character in the show) hinted to TV Line that it would be “large and unpredictable.

The actress remarked, “There’s a definite vibe of a final season,” further stating, “It explores numerous locations, and it keeps you guessing with its unexpected twists until the very end.

During this waiting time, viewers might find it challenging, but don’t forget that fans can utilize the opportunity to either catch up with or revisit seasons 1 through 5 of “The Handmaid’s Tale” on Hulu instead.
