What is How To Train Your Dragon about?
On the rugged island of Berk, steeped in generations of enmity between Vikings and dragons, Hiccup (Mason Thames, known for ‘The Black Phone’ and ‘For All Mankind’) distinguishes himself. As the imaginative yet underestimated son of Chief Stoick the Vast (Gerard Butler, returning to his voice role from the franchise), Hiccup buckles centuries-old tradition when he forms an unusual friendship with Toothless, a dragon feared by many. This unconventional bond sheds light on dragons’ true character, causing ripples that challenge the very core of Viking society.
Accompanied by Astrid, a determined and talented BAFTA nominee (Nico Parker, known for her roles in Dumbo and The Last of Us), and the eccentric blacksmith Gobber (Nick Frost, recognized from Snow White and the Huntsman and Shaun of the Dead), Hiccup navigates a world fraught with fear and misconceptions.
In an era where an old peril resurfaces, jeopardizing both Vikings and dragons alike, Hiccup’s bond with Toothless turns out to be instrumental in shaping a fresh destiny. Side by side, they venture into the intricate road of peace, transcending the limits of their realms and reshaping the essence of heroism and leadership.
