Daisy Ridley, who gained fame for her role as Rey in the recent Star Wars trilogy, has shown interest in entering the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She openly expressed her willingness to be part of this universe, particularly if offered a spot among the Avengers.

Ridley shared that her friend, Matthew Sharp – who works as a second assistant director on the Avengers films – had discussed the potential opportunity with her. When questioned, Ridley promptly affirmed, ‘Yes, absolutely’, if Marvel were to contact her.

Beyond her well-known role in “Star Wars,” Ridley is an enthusiast of various movies, such as superhero films. She even expressed her fondness for Batman and The Penguin during a recent interview while publicizing her latest project, “Cleaner.” This indicates her wide array of film preferences, which could potentially make her a flexible choice for the MCU if she chooses to participate.

In the realm of Star Wars, Ridley’s upcoming film titled “Jedi Order” has experienced some adjustments in its production process. More recently, George Nolfi was recruited as a new screenwriter, taking over from Steven Knight who departed the project back in October. Before Knight, other writers were involved, including Damon Lindelof and Justin Britt-Gibson. Despite these transitions, Lucasfilm continues to concentrate on furthering Rey Skywalker’s narrative.

Elsewhere in the galaxy of Star Wars, there are some thrilling advancements brewing. It’s said that Ryan Gosling is discussing potential roles for a new solo film, with Shawn Levy directing. At present, the specifics about his character are under wraps; however, this production isn’t connected to the Skywalker Saga. If Gosling signs on, it could accelerate the timeline for the movie, potentially starting as soon as autumn this year.
