New Film ‘The Last Supper’ Will Bring Jesus’ Final Days to Life in March, Trailer Released

With Lent fast approaching, a new perspective on the last days of Jesus’ life is set to grace the silver screen. Titled “The Last Supper”, this film is the creation of director Mauro Borrelli and will be making its debut on March 14th. In this production, Jamie Ward known from “His Dark Materials” portrays Jesus, while James Faulkner famed for his role in “Game of Thrones” takes on Caiaphas. Additionally, Nathalie Rapti Gomex from “Love on the Rock” is also part of the cast. This film promises to delve deeply into one of the Bible’s most pivotal events.

A glimpse into the dramatic circumstances of Jesus’ final days is provided by The Last Supper. Recently, a trailer and poster were unveiled, providing us with an early preview. The trailer initiates with the renowned scene of the Last Supper, where Jesus (portrayed by Ward) is depicted breaking bread with his disciples.

Throughout this narrative, significant events such as Peter’s initial meeting with Jesus, Jesus turning over tables at the temple, and his instruction by the Sea of Galilee are depicted for viewers. The account further delves into Jesus’ betrayal, capture, and subsequent crucifixion.

In a new production, renowned Christian artist and composer Chris Tomlin takes on the role of executive producer and introduces the movie trailer. The impressive ensemble features Robert Knepper known for his role in “Prison Break” as Judas, Daniel Fathers, famously seen in “House of the Dragon,” as Joseph of Arimathea, and Henry Garrett from “Silo” portraying Nicodemus.

In addition, several famous actors bring to life significant biblical characters, enhancing the authenticity of the historical depiction.
