As a die-hard film enthusiast, I’m excitedly inviting fellow cinephiles to tune in this coming Sunday, not for the Super Bowl, but for the heartwarming Puppy Bowl! Word on the street is that we might catch a tantalizing sneak peek of the upcoming Superman film during the event.

At the gathering, Gunn arrived carrying a message along with a sneak peek trailer starring Nathan Fillion in the role of Green Lantern Guy Gardner, showcasing his distinctive bowl-shaped hairstyle. (Wink!)

When is the Puppy Bowl?

On February 9th, which is commonly known as Super Bowl Sunday, the Puppy Bowl will air. This heartwarming event starts at 2 in the afternoon Eastern Time or 11 in the morning Pacific Time on Animal Planet, Discovery, TBS, and TruTV before The Big Game begins.

What is the Puppy Bowl?

As a passionate cinephile, let me share an exciting cinematic spectacle: A heartwarming game of “Football” featuring adorable canine participants! One fortunate pooch will receive the prestigious “Krypto Super Play” award for their exceptional performance on the field.

Each year, the Puppy Bowl airs on television, showcasing cute puppies playing in a miniature football arena. The “match” involves puppies scampering around a field adorned like a real football stadium, chasing toys and one another. A touchdown is achieved when a puppy picks up a toy and carries it into the end zone.

Why no Superman Super Bowl trailer?

In a scenario where the price tag for a thirty-second advertisement exceeded $8 million, David Zaslav was not willing to allow Gunn to unveil a Superman trailer during the Super Bowl. To the best of my knowledge, Warner Bros. had never used the Super Bowl for trailers in the past, neither for the Harry Potter films nor Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight series, though Batman Begins did have a Super Bowl trailer back in 2005 as far as I can recall.

If you love dogs and similar pets, you might find the Puppy Bowl entertaining. Additionally, it seems that there will be fresh Superman material, possibly featuring Krypto. Check out the latest preview down below.
