As a loyal admirer, I’m still fondly recalled for my unforgettable role as Rachel Zane in the series Suits. Recently, Prince Harry and I, as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, paid a visit to Vancouver, Canada, where we had the pleasure of meeting the inspiring athletes of the Invictus Games. Interestingly enough, these extraordinary individuals expressed their fondness for my character from Suits.
One member of the team, Leandra Moehring, spoke to People Magazine, stating that they frequently commended the Duchess for her part in the NBC drama.
For seven seasons, the actress who was once a part of the royal family, took on the role of Rachel Zane. This character became the romantic interest of Mike Ross, portrayed by Patrick J. Adams.
Regarding their conversation with Markle, Moehring shared that they mentioned spotting her on Suits. She also recounted, “She said, ‘I’m sorry, I wasn’t wearing a pencil skirt that day.’” Notably, in the show, Markle’s character was often dressed in a single-colored ensemble, which typically included a pencil skirt and a blouse with heels.
Furthermore, the athlete disclosed details about their team’s encounters with Prince Harry and his spouse. She shared that they were gracious, unafraid to snap photos with the entire group. Moehring added, “They truly spent time with every individual on our team. Despite being pressed for time due to scheduling constraints, they didn’t mind taking pictures at all. It was really quite special.
She added, “I loved them.”
One team member, Bryce Ewing, told a news outlet that the Duke and Duchess came across as remarkably humble, approachable, and compassionate.
