Tom Cruise Recalls Misson Impossible’s THIS Intense Stunt That Led Him To ‘Pass Out’; Says ‘When You Stick…’

It’s common knowledge that Tom Cruise enjoys performing his own dangerous stunts without fail. Performing these stunts isn’t a walk in the park either. In fact, he once shared an account of a specific scene he acted out that left him unconscious.

During a conversation with the Empire magazine, Cruise disclosed details about the daring stunt where his character, Ethan Hunt, is seen hanging from a 1930s Boeing Stearman biplane wing. This thrilling sequence was filmed high above South Africa and reportedly took place at an altitude of approximately 10,000 feet.

The actor disclosed to the media that, while driving at speeds over 120-130 mph with your face exposed, you’re not taking in oxygen. Cruise added, “I had to teach myself how to breathe effectively. There were instances when I would faint and couldn’t regain consciousness to get back into the vehicle.

In simpler terms, filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie told a news source that some of the stunts in the movie are so mind-boggling, they could fry your brain. He also mentioned that there’s a chance the main actor will do something extraordinary, something that would outshine anything he’s done before – and this incredible feat might just happen while filming on an African location.

In addition, the director discussed another scene that exceeds the thrill of the previously mentioned underwater stunt by Cruise. When discussing this unspecified stunt, he confided, “I honestly feel nauseous just thinking about the pressure.” He described it as extremely intense.

The director also mentioned a different scene that surpasses the excitement of the previously mentioned underwater stunt by Cruise. While discussing this undisclosed stunt, he admitted, “I can’t help but feel queasy considering the strain.” He referred to it as intense.

Mission: Impossible– The Final Recoking is slated to be released on May 23, 2025.
