The Black Mandala is set to launch a fresh wave of terror with their latest offering, “Play Dead,” an intense horror movie that thrusts audiences headlong into a merciless battle for survival.

Under the guidance of filmmaker Carlos ‘Charly’ Goitia, renowned for his work on “Nightmare Radio: The Night Stalker” and “The 100 Candles Game: The Last Possession”, this chilling tale has been penned by Gonzalo Mellid and Camilo Zaffora.

The story unfolds around Alison, portrayed by Paula Brasca (What the Waters Left Behind), who finds herself in a dark basement, injured and surrounded by motionless bodies. Desperate to free herself, she discerns that her best chance of survival is to remain completely still and mimic one of the deceased. However, what’s happening above her becomes increasingly terrifying—an appalling ritual that grows more unsettling with each passing moment.

Drawing inspiration from films such as “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre,” “Don’t Breathe,” and “The Collector,” the film “Play Dead” masterfully blends intense suspense and startling horror, ensuring a heart-pounding viewing experience.

In the movie, we see Paula Brassca acting alongside Catalina Motto, Luca Espindola, David Gomez Pascua, and several others. The cinematography for this production is managed by Luciano Montes de Oca, while the art direction is overseen by Paola Tolosa.

Taz Pereyra and Gabriela Lojo are responsible for designing the spooky costumes, while María Fernanda Curci and Florencia Ollé head up the makeup department. Yanel Castellano designs the unsettling special effects, and Anibal Morales brings haunting visuals to reality. The sound design is overseen by German Suracce and Ezequiel Brodsky.
