FINAL DESTINATION: BLOODLINES Trailer Teases a String of Family Demises

In the fifth installment of the Final Destination series, fans were given a satisfying conclusion that brought everything full circle. The survivors from the previous movie decided to travel by plane to Paris, but Death had the last say as it turned out to be the same doomed Flight 180 from the initial film. This fitting end to an exciting franchise seemed to imply that Death wasn’t done yet. The next chapter, titled Final Destination: Bloodlines, is set to bring the series back with new characters, and even in the first preview, we witness one of them meeting their demise.

Let’s be honest, this offers an intriguing glimpse into what lies ahead. Instead of depicting multiple characters exchanging tense glances throughout the movie, we’re presented with a single, approximately two-minute scene that focuses on someone’s demise. This person is Erik, a tattoo and piercing artist who has just experienced the loss of his father. He’s not only required to work but also to perform closing duties at his job.

In a domino effect reminiscent of a Rube Goldberg contraption, his demise unfolds with him being hanged by his septum piercing, leading ultimately to a fiery fall on the ground below. It seems likely that other members of his family will suffer greatly as well.

Here’s the synopsis for Final Destination: Bloodlines to go along with its trailer:

Tortured by a persistent, terrifying dream, college student Stefanie journeys home in search of the individual who could potentially end this recurring nightmare and prevent the gruesome fate that seems destined for her entire family.

Is it possible that the clip we watched was simply a segment of someone’s dream? It’s uncertain if Erik shares any genuine ties with Stefanie in real life. The movie features Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Rya Kihlstedt, Anna Lore, and Brec Bassinger, alongside the late Tony Todd.
