Final Destination: Bloodlines marks the sixth installment in the chilling Final Destination franchise. This movie is helmed by directors Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, with a screenplay penned by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor. The production of this film is under New Line Cinema, while it will be distributed by Warner Bros., hitting theaters on May 16, 2025.

In the upcoming episode, Tony Todd resumes his role as William Bludworth, joining an ensemble that also features Brec Bassinger, Teo Briones, and Richard Harmon. Viewers can anticipate additional doses of chilling supernatural terror and lethal visions in this latest addition to the series.

Prior to the release of ‘Final Destination 5’ in 2011, Tony Todd hinted that there could be two more sequels if the film proved successful. In 2019, it was announced that a new installment of the series was in production by New Line Cinema. The initial script, penned by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, was said to offer a unique spin on the franchise. In 2020, producer Craig Perry confirmed that the film would center around first responders such as EMTs, firefighters, and police officers.

Subsequently, it was verified by original creator Jeffrey Reddick that the blueprint for a sixth movie had been established prior to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Although many details remain hidden, the official summary hints at what we may anticipate. The upcoming ‘Final Destination’ film could feature two interconnected narratives; one set in the past and another in the present. In the 1960s, a grandmother experiences a vision of a structure collapsing and prevents people from meeting an untimely demise.

In due course, her granddaughter too begins experiencing visions, but these are of her relatives succumbing to death. It becomes apparent that these fatalities are unfolding according to a particular sequence. This might tie in with the happenings depicted in the initial ‘Final Destination’ film.

In the 1960s, a grandmother foresees the impending fall of a building and manages to rescue a band of people from certain doom. Years afterward, her granddaughter starts experiencing visions about the demise of her kin and gradually comes to understand that there’s an underlying pattern at play.
