Smallville’s Tom Welling Arrested for DUI at California Arby’s

Early on Monday morning in Yreka, California, it was reported by TMZ that Tom Welling, previously known for his role as Superman, was taken into custody for allegedly driving while intoxicated in an Arby’s parking lot.

According to police records, Welling’s blood alcohol content was 0.08% or higher, leading to his arrest. Prior to this, he posted a birthday tribute for his wife, Jessica Rose Lee, on social networking sites. As of now, he has not issued any statements regarding the event.

In simpler terms, Tom Welling is best recognized for portraying Clark Kent, a youthful version of Superman, on the television series ‘Smallville.’ This series chronicles Clark’s life as a teenager in the small town of Smallville, Kansas, and his journey to uncover his extraordinary abilities.

For ten seasons, beginning in 2001, Tom Welling played Clark on ‘Smallville’, depicting his transformation into the famous superhero, Superman. The show gained immense popularity and boosted Welling’s fame as a result of his convincing portrayal of this iconic character.

2021 saw Tom Welling and his ‘Smallville’ co-star Michael Rosenbaum disclosing their collaboration on an animated reboot of the series. Their aim was to involve as many original actors as feasible, and they presented this concept to Warner Bros. in January 2022. It was anticipated that John Glover, Sam Jones III, Kristin Kreuk, and Erica Durance would participate, but Allison Mack’s return was unlikely because of her conviction on sex trafficking charges.

According to Durance, the series was yet to be fully completed as it was still undergoing development a few months ago. Recently, Rosenbaum discussed the anticipated animated revival of the show, which is also in development, mentioning that they are looking for an opportune time to propose it, considering the ongoing changes at DCU Studios and restructuring happening at Warner Bros.
