Last year, WWE 2K24 ranked among my top favorite games. Its stellar roster, improved GM mode, and a showcase spanning four decades of Wrestlemania history, made it an engaging experience suitable for fans ranging from 8 to 80 years old. It left me wondering how WWE 2K25 could possibly outdo it. But just like Roman Reigns and The Bloodline, it’s aiming to break new grounds in exceptional gameplay.

Grand Theft – Austin?

2K’s NBA series has traditionally used “The City” as a vast open-world setting for various basketball exploits. Similarly, WWE 2K25 is introducing “The Island,” a virtual realm where players can embody a WWE superstar, provided they win over Roman Reigns, the Tribal Chief. Only PS5 and Xbox Series X/S users will have access to this massive world. By conquering challenges, amassing achievements, and dueling with other wrestlers, your character could secure an invitation to join Roman Reigns on The Island of Prominence. Are you up to the task of joining The Bloodline?

I Am The Intergender Champion

In many wrestling organizations, mixed-gender matches are quite frequent, but the WWE generally disapproves of them. Apart from rare exceptions like Chyna’s tenure with the Intercontinental Title, such matches are seldom seen. The most you’ll usually witness is a woman intervening by slapping a man during a match, or an occasional accidental scene reminiscent of “Macho Man” hiding behind Elizabeth and getting her hit instead.

In the unique realm of fighting games, both men and women engage in combat on an equal footing. Characters, whether created or established stars from the female roster, can now square off against their male counterparts in WWE 2K25 – a long-awaited development!

Enthusiasts worldwide cheered as GM Mode made its comeback in WWE 2K23. It’s hard to find a wrestling fan who doesn’t believe they could do a better job than the booker. With GM Mode, that dream becomes reality! Create epic rivalries, resolve them on the most spectacular platforms, and enjoy all the monetary perks. You even get to choose which superstars will peddle dubious food items during the pre-show with their promos. How much better can it get?
