Smallville’s Tom Welling Arrested For DUI In Arby’s Parking Lot

It’s learned that over the weekend, 47-year-old Smallville actor Tom Welling was arrested for DUI.

What happened?

As reported by TMZ from police records, Welling was apprehended around midnight on Monday in an Arby’s car park situated in Yreka, California. A glance at their online platform shows that they close at 10pm. It is plausible that the authorities located Welling nearby and subsequently stopped him in the parking lot.

According to TMZ, Tom Welling was apprehended by the local police department for driving under the influence (DUI), allegedly with a blood alcohol level of 0.08% or higher. This is roughly equivalent to a man of average size and weight consuming around 4 to 5 standard drinks over a period of two hours, which happens to be Welling’s height.

TMZ also obtained the mug shot of Tom Welling.

It’s worth mentioning that Tom Welling shared a birthday message for his wife, Jessica Rose Lee, on his Instagram on Sunday. It seems likely that they, along with their family, were marking the occasion in some way.

Smallville reunion update

By the way, there’s some intriguing news about the actor: It seems an animated series reunion from Smallville might be in the works.

For at least three years now, Welling and Michael Rosebaum (Lex), have been talking about a possible reunion.

At this point in November, Welling mentioned that the Smallville animated series was not currently a top focus for Warner Bros., given his role in Ebaster.

We’re trying to make it function, but unfortunately, we haven’t managed to secure Warner Brothers’ approval yet. We require their consent to proceed.

[Laughs] We’ve yet to receive a reply! That’s quite unusual because it’s an initiative driven by fans, and it won’t generate massive profits or be a blockbuster movie for any of us. However, we enjoy each other’s company, and working together is fun. But Warner Bros., they haven’t responded to our proposal yet. In simpler terms, it seems that this project isn’t high on their priority list at the moment. It feels like they’re not picking up the phone. [laughs]
