For the first time since his son Trace wrote an open letter expressing concern, Billy Ray Cyrus has spoken out, causing a stir in their family circle. In a subtle move on social media, the singer of Achy Breaky Heart posted cryptically about healing during what appears to be tense family circumstances.
On Sunday, January 26th, the country artist posted a video of his 2009 song “Somebody Said a Prayer” on his official YouTube channel. This video included his adopted son Trace, whom he welcomed into his family in 1993 following his marriage to Tish Cyrus.
As a devoted admirer, I kick-started my message by expressing gratitude to the California rains in the description box – a welcome relief following the heart-wrenching wildfire destruction. My thoughts go out to those left heartbroken and affected, while I also send a fervent hope for the safety of my boys, girls, and their precious mother.
In his words, “Here’s to the beginning of healing for everyone.” He emphasized that “the past is not synonymous with the future.” To summarize, he concluded with a nod to tradition, saying “So it is.” Billy and Tish, who parted ways in 2022, are the proud parents of Brandi (37), Trace, Miley, Braison (30), and Noah (25). Billy also has another son, Christopher, from a past relationship.
On January 22nd, Trace wrote a heartfelt letter to his musician father on Instagram, expressing his worries after a video of the country artist acting strangely at his inaugural performance at Liberty Ball became widely shared online.
In the letter, he expressed anxiety about his father’s wellbeing and warned that the world might lose him prematurely, saying “you could leave us too early.” Trace acknowledged that they no longer know the person Billy has transformed into, and can only recall the man they once knew as their father.
He expressed his sentiment, his voice choked with emotion, by saying, “I write this with deep feeling, I hope you understand that this message stems purely from love.” Meanwhile, it’s been reported by People magazine over the weekend that Miley is currently content and desires to steer clear of any family-related conflicts.
