Finn Wolfhard Compares Stranger Things Coming to An End to Toy Story 3’s Touching Scene; Says ‘My Whole Childhood…’

Finn Wolfhard finds it tough to part ways with Stranger Things as it’s like leaving childhood toys behind. In an interview with Variety, he shared that he essentially grew up on the sets of this Netflix series, and now that the show is approaching its end, he feels the same way as a child might when they leave their cherished playthings behind. He even likened the ending to a poignant scene from Toy Story 3.

During a recent interview with the media outlet, the actor asserted that he has spent the past decade portraying Mike Wheeler on-screen.

Reflecting on his feelings, Wolfhard stated, “The last decade has been my life.” He also noted that the creators, the Duffer Brothers, began their work at age 30 and have now reached 40. It’s been a long road for everyone, a journey we’ve all experienced together.

The IT star expressed that his entire childhood could be found there, making it similar to the emotional scene in Toy Story 3 when you leave your toys behind for the last time. It was truly a unique and memorable experience.

In the process of sharing information about the final season of the show, the actor disclosed that for a whole year, they filmed scenes with a “Lord of the Rings” aesthetic.

Finn revealed that since wrapping up the Netflix series, he’s been participating in interviews much like a student after graduation. In his words, “It was an excellent send-off and incredibly intense.” Additionally, Wolfhard added, “I can honestly say it couldn’t have had a better ending.

The release date for the fifth and final season of Stranger Things has not been revealed yet.
