Christopher Nolan Includes THIS New Location to the Filming Schedule of The Odyssey; Find Out Here

Christopher Nolan eagerly anticipates capturing scenes for his upcoming film, “The Odyssey,” in Sicily. This highly-anticipated production by Universal Studios is slated to release in 2026, and the director is taking great care to ensure that audiences will be treated to a truly unforgettable cinematic journey.

The movie is set to draw inspiration from the historical events depicted in Greek mythology, with scenes being filmed in London and Morocco. To give an authentic historical feel to this production, Nolan has opted to partially shoot his film on Sicily’s Goat Island, a place where Odysseus of Homer’s “Odyssey” is said to have roamed.

After the renowned director with an Oscar win announced his upcoming film, the creators unveiled a roster of actors ready to bring their characters to life in this grand production.

Among the actors featured are Tom Holland, Matt Damon, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, and Robert Pattinson. More recently, Jon Bernthal has been added to the ensemble as well.

In the process, it’s been suggested that Nolan could opt for the Aeolian Islands as a shooting location due to his plans to employ cutting-edge IMAX technology, according to reports.

In the storyline of the movie, The Odyssey follows the epic 10-year voyage of Odysseus on his way back home after the Trojan War. Along the way, he confronts various obstacles, witnesses the demise of his sailors and interacts with divine beings like Zeus, Athena, Poseidon, and his significant other, Penelope, who is pivotal to the narrative.

The upcoming film is being developed by Christopher Nolan and his spouse, Emma Thomas, under the Universal Pictures label. Additionally, Erik Paoletti from Italy is set to join the project. Furthermore, Wildside, who has recently been involved in the on-site production of Edward Berger’s Conclave in Rome, will also lend their hand in the film’s production process.
