The actress expressed that the film taught her the importance of being actively engaged when you care about something, stating “get involved.” She also mentioned that this project served as her unique learning experience or “school,” since she hadn’t previously participated in anything quite like it.
Barrymore conveyed to Macdowell, “Learning about the film industry on those sets was incredibly enlightening for me, despite their being quite distorted, strange, and almost dreamlike. That encounter with you significantly impacted my life, causing a major transformation.
