Anna Faris and Rick Edwards are set to co-host NBC’s brand new dating series titled “Love Takes a Village.” This innovative show, produced by Lighthearted Entertainment, features blind dates happening right in front of a live audience.
In this reality TV series, couples comprised of single individuals will go on a date. While the participants understand that their actions are being recorded, they won’t be aware that there are hidden viewers monitoring them in real-time. At the conclusion of the date, the pair will learn if they have earned another opportunity to spend time together, as well as discover who has been observing them from behind a glass partition.
Next week, I’ll be jetting off to the U.K. for our very first episode filming of this exciting new show. In case you’re wondering about the team behind the camera, they’ve got quite a track record! They’ve previously brought us the delightful Peacock series Eat Slay Love and the captivating Queens Court.
Edward’s television hosting experience with The Courtship made him a strong candidate for the role alongside the actress, given his background. Besides being a popular host of reality shows, Edward is also recognized for his work in movies such as The House Bunny, 22 Jump Street, and The Dictator.
Ever since I’ve ventured into the glamorous world of Hollywood, each project I undertake seems to be a step towards success. A few standout roles that have left their mark on me are the voice acting for Toy Story 5 and my character in Housebroken.
He also hosted a quiz competition for the BBC from 2017 until the end of 2021.
Regarding Faris, the actress is set to reappear on screens following the unfortunate incident of her home in Malibu and parts of Southern California being destroyed by wildfires. Her ex-husband and well-known actor Chris Pratt provided an update about the state of her house, which was consumed by flames.
The release date for Love Takes a Village will be shared by the makers soon.
