In the final episode of Blue Exorcist, titled “Alone,” we witness Fujimoto, Shiro’s senior, losing his life in a fight against a demon. This tragic event results in Shiro inheriting Fujimoto’s last name and glasses. Meanwhile, Rin attends the promotion ceremony for new Exorcists, where both Shiro and Yuri are among those being recognized.
In Mexico, Yuri outperforms a golem, which stirs up friction between her and Shiro. Exasperated, Shiro lashes out at Rick, prompting Yuri to scold him for being feeble. Later, Yuri admits her feelings and plants a kiss on Shiro, who departs. Mephisto then discloses the initial instance when Satan inhabited a physical form.
In Episode 4 of Blue Exorcist: The Blue Night Saga, we pick up nine years later as Shiro, Yuri, and Rick carry on, maturing through assorted life events. Simultaneously, the Section 13 Elixir experiments escalate, with Amaimon managing to briefly take control, but Lucifer continues to search for a suitable host, focusing intensely on physical forms.
In this momentous phase, I find myself serving as the conduit for an entity that seemingly encapsulates the entire cosmos, marking a significant shift. As we delve into Blue Exorcist Season 4 Part 2 Episode 4, I anticipate we’ll uncover more about these transformations, the continuing trials and tribulations, and how it affects the journeys of Shiro, Yuri, and Rick.
