beginning January 29, 2025, the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket is preparing for some thrilling improvements! From that date, we’ll be able to swap cards with our pals. Initially, only specific cards from the Genetic Apex and Mythical Island packs will be eligible for trading. To facilitate a trade, both players must possess the same card rarity. We’ll introduce new in-game items called trade hourglasses and trade tokens to complete these exchanges, ensuring trades remain fair and well-balanced.
Tomorrow, on January 30th, we’re launching an exciting new expansion called Space-Time Smackdown. This set introduces legendary Pokémon such as Dialga and Palkia, alongside popular ones like Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup, and Lucario. The cards will showcase distinct artworks, bringing a burst of freshness to our collections. It’s worth mentioning that the cards from this new expansion won’t be tradeable immediately; we’ll need to wait a while before we can exchange them with friends.
Ever since its debut in October 2024, Pokémon TCG Pocket has been a massive success with over 60 million downloads by mid-December. This game provides a streamlined take on the classic trading card experience, catering to both newbies and dedicated fans alike. You can open up to two booster packs each day without spending a dime, and there’s also an opportunity to invest in a Premium Pass for extra benefits. The forthcoming trade feature and new expansion are expected to further enhance our Pokémon card-collecting adventure.
