In an interview with GQ Spain, he shared that it’s gratifying to be identified with his famous movie character but also surprising that fans remain attached to a film released in 2008. The actor living in the present mentioned that some viewers and admirers of his work still approach him, claiming that Twilight had an adverse impact on the vampire genre.
During a chat with a media outlet, the actor from “Remember Me” expressed his amazement at how relevant the movie still is today. Expounding upon his remarks, he mentioned, “It’s fascinating to hear people say, ‘Twilight really shook up the vampire genre.’
As an ardent admirer, I’d put it this way: Every time someone approaches me with praise for the film, I find myself asking, “Still dwelling on that, huh? Over two decades have passed! It’s mind-boggling to be sad about something so far back.
In November 2024, it was the 16th anniversary of Robert Pattinson’s debut supernatural film in the series. After the movie became a massive success, they produced four additional installments that were released in theaters during 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012.
During the podcast, the actor who plays Batman expressed his surprise at how these older films continue to hold cultural significance.
