Timothée Chalamet Enlists His Lookalikes for Saturday Night Live Promo Ahead of Double Duty as Host and Musical Guest

This week, Timothée Chalamet is both hosting and appearing as a guest on Saturday Night Live. To help him manage this dual role, a somewhat unexpected group of his doppelgängers are providing assistance.

In the recently revealed 1-minute trailer for SNL, Timothee Chalamet enlists four look-alikes to help with various tasks such as meeting the writing team, preparing monologues, and even enduring Mikey Day’s Is It Cake? anecdotes.

The promotion humorously echoes the latest popular Chalamet doppelganger competitions, such as the one held in Manhattan back in October, with the star of Little Women himself unexpectedly showing up at the event.

As he converses with individuals resembling him, Chalamet admits that this particular situation is new to him, with one dressed as Willy Wonka, another as Bob Dylan from A Complete Unknown, and two donning some of Chalamet’s red carpet ensembles.

In simple terms, the Lady Bird actor explains that he has both hosting duties and being the musical guest for Saturday Night Live within the same week, which means there’s a great deal of work to be done, so his main priority is to put effort into preparing the music performances.

In the advertisement, one of the look-alikes replaces Timothée Chalamet on The Tonight Show, leaving host Jimmy Fallon perplexed. Meanwhile, the genuine Chalamet watches from a screen, commending the fake’s act and advising his other duplicates to learn from it.

Previously, Timothée Chalamet graced Saturday Night Live with roles like a sleep-paralysis version of Troye Sivan and a comical rapper alongside Pete Davidson. But this time, he’s taking on a new challenge – serving as both the show’s host and musical guest. He’s been honing his musical skills while filming the critically acclaimed Bob Dylan biopic, A Complete Unknown, so get ready to witness something unique!

Saturday Night Live streams live on Peacock and airs on Saturday on NBC.
