Finn Wolfhard Faces a Camp Counselor Killer in HELL OF A SUMMER Trailer

Finn Wolfhard has become one of the most recognizable figures in today’s horror genre. From his lead role as Mike Wheeler in “Stranger Things” to his performances in films like “IT” and “The Turning”, this young actor has proven he can handle a hair-raising predicament. Currently, Finn is not only starring in but also directing and writing for “Hell of a Summer”, an upcoming horror comedy film that pays tribute to ’80s slasher movies with its trailer.

In the video, we encounter Jason (not the slasher one), a 24-year-old who works as a camp counselor much to his mother’s dismay. He arrives at Camp Pineway with the aim of disciplining a fresh batch of teenage counselors, while simultaneously feeling like an old-timer among them. However, being out of touch with the younger generation turns out to be the least of his worries, as it turns out there’s a mysterious masked killer on the loose who is systematically eliminating the counselors. This plotline may seem reminiscent, but given that this film is playfully mocking and honoring the Friday the 13ths and other similar movies that came before, it makes perfect sense.
