Marvel Snap has returned after surprise ban

Following an unusual two-day period marked by the surprising ban of Marvel Snap, the card battler has returned. In a post made on the Snap Discord, Ben Brode, Chief Development Officer at Second Dinner, expressed their search for a new publisher to avoid any future incidents similar to this one.

In an unexpected turn of events, Second Dinner and Marvel Snap got entangled in the U.S. government’s ongoing tussle with TikTok, a popular social media app. On January 19, TikTok temporarily shut down as previously announced. Interestingly, other apps linked to ByteDance, such as Snap, also experienced downtime.

It came as a surprise to Second Dinner, along with the countless gamers worldwide, when they found themselves unable to access and play the game. Later on, Senior Community Manager Griffin Bennett reassured the community that those affected by this interruption in gameplay would receive compensation for their lost playing time.

Regarding TikTok, U.S. President Donald Trump has signed an order that allows the app to remain active in the country for a period of 75 days.

It appears I hold a fond affection for TikTok,” Trump stated. Notably, the app’s CEO, Shou Zi Chew, was present at Trump’s inauguration. He acknowledges that TikTok played a crucial role in connecting with the vast number of young voters who significantly contributed to his unexpected political resurgence.

Trump first supported the idea of banning the app due to potential security concerns, but he’s shifted his stance temporarily. This story is bound to take some unexpected turns, and App Trigger will keep you informed about further updates. At the moment, I’m thrilled to have Marvel Snap in action again. I recently unlocked Death for my destructive deck after dedicating many hours of playtime.
