Blake Lively Slams Justin Baldoni’s BTS Video Release as ‘Unethical Attempt’ to Sway Public Opinion

Blake Lively is voicing her opinions during the ongoing court case with Justin Baldoni, following his release of an exclusive video that offers a unique glimpse into the filming of ‘The It Ends With Us’.

In response to queries on January 21st, a legal team speaking on behalf of the actress who’s filed a lawsuit against her director-co-star for sexual harassment and violations under the Fair Employment and Housing Act and the California Civil Code, stated that a 10-minute unedited footage supports entirely what the actress had claimed in her court documents.

According to Justin Baldoni’s legal team, they might be trying to divert attention from the harmful evidence against him by pulling off a new stunt. However, the video itself is detrimental, as it depicts Mr. Baldoni persistently approaching Ms. Lively, attempting kisses on her forehead and lips, rubbing his face against her neck, flicking her lip with his thumb, caressing her, complimenting her scent, and engaging in conversation that appears out of character with her.

According to the ex-Gossip Girl actor’s legal team, they claimed that all parts of the scene were spontaneously acted by Mr. Baldoni without any prior conversation or agreement, and there was no intimacy coach on set during filming.

In the given statement, Mr. Baldoni not only acted alongside Ms. Lively in a production, but he also directed it, held the position of studio head, and was her supervisor on set. The clip subsequently reveals Ms. Lively pulling back and persistently requesting that their characters simply converse instead of engaging in some other action.

In a further explanation, it was pointed out that any woman who has experienced inappropriate touch in the workplace would likely identify with Ms. Lively’s discomfort. They would also understand her use of humor as an attempt to divert unwanted touches. It is unfair for any woman to feel compelled to take protective measures to prevent being touched by their employer without their permission.

According to Lively’s team’s assertion, the actress from Jane the Virgin was accused of making an unscrupulous effort to influence public opinion by disseminating the backstage footage in a questionable manner.

On Tuesday, Baldoni’s legal representatives argued that they were justified in responding to the lawsuit filed by Lively, as they have the authority to present their own account of facts and evidence in self-defense.

In his argument, Baldoni’s attorney stated that while Ms. Lively may desire unique standards for herself, it is important to remember that honesty and authenticity are universal values that are always correct, and they apply equally to everyone.

In the video under scrutiny, it’s clear that both Lively and Baldoni strayed from their characters Lily and Ryle during a filmed romantic slow dance scene. Their discussions varied, with Lively jokingly teasing Baldoni about his nose and her spray tan causing discomfort for him. However, Baldoni appears to take these jokes in stride as captured on film.
