In a chat with Elle España, Richard Gere shared insights into his private life. Known for his role as the leading lady’s love interest in Pretty Woman, Gere is currently married to Alejandra Silva and they have two sons, Alexander (5) and James (4), along with Silva’s son Albert (11). The family, according to him, is experiencing a harmonious phase, which he described as their “flowing” or dynamic period.
He mentioned that they are more joyful than they’ve ever been before. He went on to explain that his wife, who hails from Spain and serves as his publicist, is content because she’s now living in her homeland. As for him, he’s happy just by seeing her happy. The actor from ‘The Agency’ disclosed that their shared passion for environmental activism is what binds them together and strengthens their relationship.
In 2014, following my divorce from my previous spouse, I crossed paths with my current partner for the first time. More recently, we’ve joined forces on projects like Sierra a Mar in Mexico, as well as others, that have brought us shared acclaim.
In simpler terms, he shared that collaborating for a common purpose keeps their ego under control, which is when significant transformation in their relationship takes place. Moreover, the actor from The Runaway Bride couldn’t help but express his admiration for his wife, commending her open-mindedness and sincere appreciation.
He remarked, overflowing with emotion, that their bond transcends labels like spirit, religion, love, or compassion – it’s boundless. Similarly, Silva opened up about her marriage, recalling how she and her husband have been perfectly attuned to each other since their first encounter in Positano on the Amalfi Coast.
Silva has shared that their aspirations and objectives have been in sync since their marriage in 2018. “We’re like kindred spirits,” she enthused. The political activist expressed that they hold the same values and perspective on life, and it felt as if they had known each other for a long time when they initially met.
Back in April 2024, I openly discussed my intentions to relocate to Spain during an interview with Vanity Fair España. I felt it necessary to share that the primary motivation driving this move was to bridge the gap between Silva and her cherished family, longstanding friends, and cultural roots. This decision, in a sense, feels like a cosmic connection or destiny from our past lives, as I believe our reunion is preordained.
