As a lifestyle expert, I’m excitedly sharing my perspective on Robert Pattinson‘s recent insights about embodying the legendary DC superhero, Batman, in ‘The Batman.’ In anticipation for ‘The Batman Part II,’ he mused over the rich history and enduring legacy of this iconic character, portrayed by a succession of esteemed actors. He also humorously fielded questions about who among his fellow Batmen had the best scent and succinctly described ‘The Batman Part II’ in just one word.
In an interview with Esquire, Robert Pattinson discussed the intimate connection he forms with his character’s senses. Particularly, he reminisced about the unique scent of Batman’s cowl. He pointed out that the leather mask, permeated with tension and age, left behind some lasting aromas.
In his reflection, Pattinson mentioned that the smell of Batman’s cowl, which is made of leather, was particularly strong for him. However, it wasn’t just the typical leather scent; it was a mix because he felt both enclosed by the leather mask and constantly on edge. Moreover, leather tends to absorb emotions, so it carried an emotional aroma as well.
At his audition, the actor from Good Time donned cowls that had been used by other performers before him. He mentioned that, despite passing years, each one still carried a unique scent. When inquired about which of those cowls smelled the most pleasant, Pattinson jokingly pointed to George Clooney’s.
During my audition for Batman, I got to test out various cowls. Interestingly, even those from 20 years back still carried the unique scent of each actor who wore them before. It’s quite peculiar, but it seemed like George Clooney’s mask had the nicest smell.
As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but feel a thrill of anticipation, eagerly waiting for any morsel of news about the upcoming sequel. Yet, it seems that the creators are keeping most of the juicy details under wraps. Pattinson, in his characteristically enigmatic way, has only hinted at the project with tantalizing glimpses of excitement, leaving us fans yearning for more concrete information.
When questioned about the sequel, Robert Pattinson was vague and simply replied, “As of now, I’ve not been presented with any details, so I can’t offer an insightful comment. However, I might suggest that it could be… somewhat ‘iriser’?
Besides Bruce Wayne, Robert Pattinson is also featured in the upcoming sci-fi film titled Mickey 17, which is being helmed by Oscar-winning director Bong Joon Ho. The sequel to “The Batman” is set for release on October 1, 2027.
