The Black Eyed Peas have called off their first-ever residency in Las Vegas, stating that they’re doing so due to the present conditions, but they didn’t provide any additional details.
On a somber note, I must share that due to the prevailing conditions, my upcoming Las Vegas performances with the esteemed supergroup have been postponed, as announced on our Instagram Stories.
We’ll be giving out full refunds on tickets automatically. Keep an eye on our updates for news about upcoming shows, as we eagerly look forward to welcoming you back.
Online speculation that the residency was underselling had been circulating for months.
In September 2024, the musical trio known as The Black Eyed Peas – composed of Will.i.am, Apl.de.ap, and Taboo – announced a series of performances in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dubbed “Black Eyed Peas: 3008 The Las Vegas Residency“, these shows will take place at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino starting in February. Over the course of February, March, and May, the group is set to perform a total of 15 dates.
Besides Will.i.am, Apl.de.ap, and Taboo, it’s been announced that a digital bandmate called Vida will join the group as its latest addition.
Last year, Will.i.am shared with USA Today that we had anticipated this back in 2009 through The E.N.D. album, the avatar character in the video, and the figure on our album cover. He exclaimed, “As a kid running around L.A., while Apple was doing the same in the Philippines, it’s mind-blowing to think that one day we would have an AI member in a globally renowned urban pop-hip-hop group.
He clarified that Vida wouldn’t just be a projection or hologram, instead she would be a genuine, interactive entity, enabling participants and spectators to interact with her directly.
