There’s been increasing disapproval among many about the artist lineup chosen for Trump’s inauguration ceremony. The rapper expressed his dismay about the fans’ negative reactions towards him. He clarified that his decision wasn’t influenced by politics, but rather, he would have performed at such events for other presidents or vice-presidents, such as President Biden or Vice-President Harris. He further stated, “Politics is no longer relevant to me. He won! He’s the president. He’s the leader of what I consider to be the greatest nation on earth.
For Nelly, taking part in this event doesn’t relate to backing any particular politician or ideology. He clearly explained that his motivation for joining was based on professional reasons and respect for the office of the Presidency.
