Justin Baldoni Drags Ryan Reynolds and Taylor Swift Into His Claims Against Blake Lively: Here’s Why

After Blake Lively’s legal action against Justin Baldoni, the filmmaker behind It Ends with Us, has initiated a new lawsuit for $400 million, involving not only Lively but also her husband Ryan Reynolds, as well as their publicist.

According to PEOPLE, Baldoni claims in his detailed lawsuit that Taylor Swift and Reynolds put pressure on him to accept one of the Gossip Girl actress’s revisions.

As stated in the accusations, during the early stages of filming, Lively proposed to bypass the scene on the rooftop where Lily Bloom encounters Ryle Kincaid. Although Baldoni was hesitant about her revised script, he consented to review it.

According to Justin Baldoni, Blake Lively’s scene deviated significantly from the initial plan. When he objected to the alteration, Lively stopped communicating for several days. Later, in a text message, she expressed that his response made her uncomfortable, not just for Reynolds but also for another highly-acclaimed celebrity friend of his.

In contrast, the documents disclose that the “highly influential and affluent” individual in question is Taylor Swift. Baldoni alleges that he was invited to a discussion with Reynolds at his luxurious New York City apartment, and it was Swift herself who applauded the revision.

In the legal document, it’s stated that Baldoni grasped the underlying meaning – he was required to follow Lively’s script instructions. To avoid any influence from Reynolds and Swift, Baldoni texted Lively, expressing that if her modifications made the scene “even more enjoyable and engaging,” he could have felt equally pleased without her husband and friend, accompanied by an emoji.

Vividly, it’s said that Khaleesi replied, “Give Game of Thrones a try someday, and you’ll understand why I’m like Daenerys, and much like her, I possess some dragons. They may cause harm occasionally, but generally they help. My dragons are not just destructive; they also shield those I defend. In essence, we all gain from my magnificent beasts. Trust me, you’ll reap the benefits too.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that Swift’s song “My Tears Ricochet” was featured in the movie. At the New York City premiere on August 6, Lively mentioned to E! News that the memorable rooftop scene was penned by Ryan Reynolds.
