Jenna Bush Hager openly disclosed that her mother, Laura Bush, adores the 2001 film “Zoolander,” which features Ben Stiller. She even had a chance to share this favorite pick directly with the movie’s leading actor.
On the January 15 episode of Today with Jenna & Friends (aired on a Wednesday), Jenna and Stiller had a conversation. During their chat, Jenna revealed to Stiller that her mother particularly enjoyed the movie “Zoolander”.
As an over-the-moon fanboy, I can’t help but gush: When the star from Night at the Museum reacted, he exclaimed, “Oh my goodness, that’s amazing!” Stiller continued by revealing that he aimed to include her in the sequel of this movie, but she was shrewdly cautious as she understood to keep a safe distance.
Hager shared that they conducted a screening at the White House, whereupon her mother extended invitations to all her friends. She added that this very year, Laura (age 78), joined in a game and penned her preferred movie with everyone participating.
Hager mentioned that each person contributed to the writing of Shawshank, while his mother was responsible for Zoolander. Stiller expressed, “We absolutely adore it.
The film revolves around the character Derek, portrayed by Stiller, as he embarks on a journey to reflect upon his past modeling career, only to find himself entangled in a conspiracy surrounding the potential assassination of Malaysia’s prime minister.
