Ventana for PVE

Ventana’s niche

Ventana excels in dishing out massive damage towards targets that either have the “taunt” or “concentrated fire” debuff, which is primarily applied by Zenith and Rigenette. However, this role is quite specialized because fights against powerful solo bosses are not common, excluding a few Very Hard story mode bosses. Even when facing single targets, it’s often preferable to have a strong element-based attacker for the benefit of property damage bonuses. Narrowing down further, Ventana is primarily effective against dark single target bosses.

So far, Ventana hasn’t been much of a favorite choice for battles among many players. Despite the fact that her past costumes (Snow White and Comeback Idol) could dish out significant damage in specific battles, the average player found that the damage output from Ventana wasn’t sufficiently high to warrant such a substantial investment into a character who is quite specialized or niche.

Damage analysis

With the arrival of Onsen Practitioner Ventana (OP.Ventana), things have undergone a significant shift. Similar to its previous costumes, OP.Ventana dishes out massive single-target damage against enemies with taunt or focused attacks. However, what sets it apart is its major innovation: for the next six turns, it inflicts an enemy with a damage amplification debuff for every light attack. This isn’t a property damage boost, but rather a multiplier that increases the damage dealt by OP.Ventana, Ventana’s other costumes used in the following two attacks, and even the damage of her light teammates over these turns.

With this update, OP.Ventana serves as an excellent foundation for layering with Ventana’s additional outfits, enabling you to achieve EXTREMELY HIGH SINGLE TARGET DAMAGE, by far the greatest.

The table below demonstrates the enhanced performance of Ventana’s costumes when all three are used at their maximum potential and combined with each other. To simulate a realistic buff scenario, it assumes you equip RH.Zenith and MC.Teresse first.

RH.Zenith increases damage by 100% (doubling the original), so when paired with OP.Ventana, it boosts damage by an additional 300%, effectively quadrupling the original damage. Similarly, MC.Teresse grants a two-turn ATK boost of 120% (a 220% total attack power), and when combined with CI.Ventana, it offers a 195% ATK boost (a 295% total attack power).

In simpler terms, the use of RH.Zenith and MC.Teresse together makes Ventana’s attacks quadruple their original damage and increases her attack power by approximately 295%.

That damage is absolutely monstrous.

To demonstrate how substantial that destruction is relative to other assailants, the table below compares the destructive power of two top-tier light attackers, Comeback Idol Yuri and Sacred Justia, in an identical situation (enhanced by RH.Zenith and MC.Teresse). To factor in CI.Yuri’s critical damage boost within the overall multiplier, I’ve approximated that Yuri is equipped with a base critical damage of approximately 700%.

In my calculations, I’ve considered that Sacred Justia deals her full potential damage to ten enemies simultaneously. However, it’s rare for such a situation to unfold during typical encounters.

As a gamer, I’ve noticed something impressive about Snow White Ventana. When she’s optimally equipped with OP and CI buffs, her attack power surpasses that of Comeback Idol Yuri by more than double, sometimes even approaching triple the damage! It’s important to note that this comparison doesn’t account for Ventana’s base ATK (385), which is significantly higher than both Yuri and Sacred Justia (352). This difference in base stats, when fully geared, only amplifies the gap in our characters’ damage output.

If Ventana is set at 2000 Attack Points (ATK) and a 700% critical damage multiplier, dealing over 10 million damage to a dark foe when combined with OP.Ventana, CI.Ventana, Zenith, MC.Teresse, and AOTU.Diana’s buffs is a clear indication that Snow White Ventana is heavily enhanced (buffed).

PVE game modes

In any Player vs Environment (PVE) conflicts, Ventana proves effective due to its high single-target damage capability, particularly when battling dark-type bosses.

It appears quite evident that developers are aiming to boost Ventana’s appeal with the latest enhancements to Snow White and the debut of Onsen Practitioner. This suggests a high likelihood of a dark fiend hunt coming up soon, possibly featuring one critical weakness (or a highly vulnerable main weak point) tailored for Ventana. However, it’s important to note that Ventana may not be the top choice for all dark fiend hunts and guild raids, as area-of-effect abilities are typically preferred for most bosses in these scenarios.

As a fan, I found Ventana at +5 quite decent for last night’s battle, thanks to her hefty base damage and skill multiplier. However, it’s essential to note that you can’t inflict Concentrated Fire on the Last Night boss, and you’re also unable to apply the light damage vulnerability debuff with her. So, strategize accordingly!

In the Tower of Pride, character OP.Ventana has immense power that allows her to inflict more than 1 million damage in a single strike against one target. Yet, using this ability requires you to summon Zenith, which is off-element for you, and leaves you with few options to tackle the remaining mobs effectively. As a result, it’s not advisable to use OP.Ventana in the Tower of Pride at the present moment.

Ventana for PVP

Single target attackers are generally not very good for PVP.

In order for Ventana to excel in Player versus Player (PVP) battles, she would need a consistent ability to defeat CI.Granhildr. Regrettably, this is something she currently lacks the capability of doing.

Even with Zenith and H.Lathel enhancements, an OP.Ventana equipped with a 2200 ATK level, when fully upgraded and at +5 potential, deals a base damage of 274,560 (without critical hit). However, against a Granhildr with a defense of 90%, this reduces to 27,456 damage. Regrettably, this amount is insufficient to bypass Granhildr’s energy guard.

Although Ventana might manage to defeat Granhildr consistently, the high expense and minimal impact of her other abilities make her an unwise choice for Player versus Player (PVP) combat. Instead, it’s advisable to consider alternative characters for competitive play.

Conclusion

Without a shadow of a doubt, OP.Ventana is indeed OP! To truly harness her potential, it’s essential to boost her level to at least +3. Additionally, significant investments are needed in her other two costumes: Snow White and Comeback Idol. While Onsen Practitioner can function independently, she shines brightest when paired with Snow White, serving as a setup character for her.

Because she’s a specialized character that requires significant effort to master, it might not be wise for beginners to invest heavily in her from the start.
