Aethir, the cloud-based GPU provider Depin, has teamed up with EigenLayer, a blockchain system offering staking solutions.
This integration is set to bring about changes in decentralized cloud computing, as it aims to enhance scalability and streamline the joining procedure for GPU providers who are not originally from the Web3 environment.
Aethir Partners with EigenLayer Amid Network Expansion
According to a statement sent to BeInCrypto, Aethir announced that their system is set to grow its decentralized network even more by incorporating EigenLayer’s Active Validation Service (AVS) model.
Through this partnership, Aethir’s community gains the chance to engage in staking using EigenLayer’s method. This means that regular stakers can assign their ATH tokens to validators operating within the EigenLayer network.
This partnership creates fresh income opportunities for token owners, and it particularly assists in welcoming more GPU computing service providers, particularly those limited by cryptocurrency laws.
Daniel Wang, CEO of Aethir, stated that linking with EigenLayer marks a significant step in Aethir’s mission to reshape the future of decentralized cloud computing. By utilizing EigenLayer’s restaking structure, we are not only improving staking benefits for our community, but also unveiling fresh growth prospects for compute providers and businesses.
Last year’s financial results demonstrate that Aethir is on an upward growth trend. In fact, they have set up over 397,000 GPU containers in a total of 93 different global locations.
This setup encompasses approximately 3,000 potent NVIDIA H100 processors and a staggering 59,000 Aethir Edge devices. To add, Aethir has generated an annualized revenue of over $91 million from its on-chain protocol during the past five months.
Aethir’s New Horizons initiative is a crucial element in their growth plan, aiming to enlist top-tier cloud service providers. This program entices potential joiners with annual percentage returns ranging from 200% to 400%.
Beyond this, Aethir’s Ecosystem Fund, worth $100 million, is propelling the usage of its computing platform. This fund is instrumental in fostering the creation of AI and gaming applications. Moreover, it offers affordable access to Aethir’s potent GPU network.
Aethir has now made available all four phases of its AI Agents initiative, thereby speeding up the acceptance of their computing system.
Additionally, it’s worth noting that Aethir has recently formed several alliances for artificial intelligence development. Among these are cloud-oriented initiatives that were finalized in October, as well as collaborative efforts on blockchain gaming research initiated in November.
In December, Aethir unveiled a collaboration with Beam and MetaStreet to kick off a $40 million venture focusing on artificial intelligence computing. Dubbed as TACOM, this initiative seeks to develop a system for assigning GPUs using cryptocurrency as the basis.
