Manga ‘With You, Our Love Will Make It Through’ Is Getting an Anime Adaptation

Remow, a renowned Japanese entertainment company, has confirmed the creation of an animated television series based on the popular manga “With You, Our Love Will Conquer All” (or “Kimi To Koete Koi Ni Naru”, also known as “KIMIKOE”). This anticipated show is scheduled to premiere this fall and will bring the heart-warming tale to life, which has already garnered a vast following.

The manga, penned by Chihiro Yuzuki, falls under the shojo genre – a category known for its exploration of emotional and romantic tales intended for teenage girls. As of December 2024, this series has reached remarkable heights with 1.2 million copies in circulation and an astounding 53 million page views on the Manga Mee app, where it’s been serialized since May 2019. The story revolves around a captivating high school romance between a human girl and a transfer student of beastfolk origin, seamlessly combining supernatural elements with conventional shojo motifs.

The translations into English can be found via Yen Press, and up until now, a total of seven volumes of this manga have been made public. However, the eagerly anticipated eighth volume will be available in bookstores starting from January 23rd.

Manaka Iwami and Takuya Eguchi will headline the voice actors’ team. Specifically, Iwami has been assigned to portray Asaka Mari, a character known for her kindness and honesty. She expressed her enthusiasm about the narrative, stating that she was captivated by the concept of a romance between a beastfolk and a human. The dynamics between these two characters, as well as other characters in the story, intrigued her greatly.

Over any obstacle you can conquer, together we shall be…

As the actor embodying Hidaka Tsunagu, the beast-like character, I can attest to the intricacies involved in bringing him to life. It’s no easy task portraying a beastfolk in this universe; I strove to convey the multitude of feelings that Tsunagu harbors.

Chihiro Yuzuki thanked her readers for their help in making an anime series possible, stating, “Without your support, we wouldn’t have an anime! I’m overjoyed! The story of KIMIKOE is now being brought to life through voices and movements, and it continues to be produced as I speak.

I’m thrilled to be part of the loop here! It turns out that Remow, a company founded in 2021 and backed by Shueisha, is at the helm of this exciting venture. Further details regarding the international streaming platforms where we can catch the anime are on their way. Stay tuned!
