In the opening episode of Flower and Asura, we meet Hana Haruyama, whose love for storytelling blossomed after listening to ‘An Asura in Spring’ by Shura Saionji during her childhood. At Sumomogaoka High School, Mizuki Usurai, a student, takes notice of Hana’s talent and invites her to join the Broadcasting Club.
At first, I was a bit reserved, but Mizuki’s mesmerizing entrance ceremony poem left me spellbound and our following conversations only deepened that feeling. After a heartfelt performance of ‘An Asura in Spring,’ Mizuki motivated me to step into the club, where I could nurture my abilities and boost my self-assurance. Without hesitation, I eagerly accepted their invitation.
In Episode 2 of “Flower and Asura,” Hana, who’s now part of the Broadcasting Club, teams up with fresh member Hagiya Fuyuga for an interesting self-intro activity. Feeling unsure about her talents, Hana will reveal her affection for recitation, which Fuyuga acknowledges as her key strength.
Inspired by the compliments he gave her performance, Hana is likely to feel boosted in spirit. However, she may start questioning her abilities when she sees the remarkable skills displayed by a new member, An Natsue. This storyline delves into Hana’s struggle between maintaining self-assurance and acknowledging others’ exceptional talents.
Episode 2 of Flower and Asura will debut in Japan on January 15th, 2025 at 1:29 am JST on Nippon TV. Further broadcasts on BS NTV, Chiba TV, and other channels will occur later that day. Due to time zone differences, international fans can start watching the English-subtitled version from January 14th, 2025.
Episode 2 of the series “Flower and Asura” will be streamable on various platforms such as Hulu, U-NEXT, and Anime Hōdai within Japan, and on services like Hulu and Amazon Prime Video worldwide.
