On the anniversary of their beloved daughter’s passing, Priscilla Presley penned a touching tribute to Lisa Marie Presley, the remarkable woman who was the only child shared with iconic singer Elvis Presley. Two years have passed since her unexpected death.
Priscilla posted on Instagram on the 12th of January, expressing a heartfelt message about her daughter. She wrote, “I long for you more than language can express. If only I could hug you, chat with you, and gaze upon your smile once more. I wish you could see how much you are cherished, how deeply you are missed by everyone who keeps you close to their hearts.” -Mom.
Besides Lisa Marie’s mom, it was her daughter, Riley Keough (aged 35), who took to social media on the anniversary of her death to honor her memory as well.
In a heartfelt post on her Instagram stories, the 35-year-old expressed, “It’s hard to believe it’s already been 2 years,” followed by an emotional message, “I dearly miss you and love you immensely, Mom.
For those who may not know, Lisa Marie sadly passed away at the age of 54 on January 12, 2023, as a result of issues stemming from her bariatric surgery, according to Entertainment Weekly’s article.
According to a recent report, Lisa Marie was found unconscious at her home in Calabasas, California and was subsequently transported to the hospital. An autopsy later showed that she had been dealing with health complications stemming from weight loss surgery she had undergone for an extended period of time.
The news article mentions that bowel obstruction was the stated reason for her passing, and it reports that Lisa Marie had been experiencing abdominal discomfort and vomiting for a prolonged period before she died.
