Travis Kelce’s long-held aspiration has finally been realized, as he moves from the football field to the silver screen, starring alongside Adam Sandler in the second installment of “Happy Gilmore”. Lately, he has expressed his joy and excitement about collaborating with Sandler on their forthcoming project.
It appears that the highly skilled NFL player is set to expand his resume by learning some acting abilities for the upcoming Happy Gilmore 2 film, teaming up with Sandler. Working with Sandler has long been a cherished aspiration for Kelce, and he commends the actor’s expertise and charm. On The Pat McAfee Show, Kelce expressed, “It was a dream come true.
He mentioned, “I believed that SNL would be the pinnacle of my acting and performance or entertainment journey. Collaborating with Happy Gilmore himself, the Sandman, and Happy Productions, it was simply extraordinary.
According to Kelce, there’s a striking similarity between Sandler’s leadership style and that of his coach, Andy Reid. While they shared plenty of laughs during their work, they were equally dedicated to ensuring each scene was perfectly captured on film. In fact, as a little joke, Kelce hinted that he has a significant presence in the movie.
He expressed, “They were incredibly professional and a joy to collaborate with. It felt like I was teaming up with the Andy Reid of acting. [Sandler] carries that same cool charm off-screen as he does on-screen. Working with him was a dream come true; it was an amazing experience.
In 2025, the sequel to the popular comedy film “Happy Gilmore” will be released on Netflix. This upcoming production boasts an impressive ensemble of both seasoned comedic actors and new talents, including Adam Sandler, Travis Kelce, Ben Stiller, Julie Bowen, Christopher McDonald, Bad Bunny, Kevin James, David Spade, and others.
